The shoe was designed by patient Brody Miller at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, who suffers from brain malformation. “Generator Man is based on me,” he explains. “Not only can he shoot healing energy out of his hands, he also has the powers of mind control.” Other super-powered features include a glow-in-the-dark outsole that reveals the words BE STRONG. “With all my surgeries, I’ve had to be really strong,” he explains. The 2017 Air Jordan Shoes made its way into the Doernbecher Series for the 2017 Freestyle Collection. Designed by Brody Miller, this pair comes in a blue jay, gym red and team orange colorway.
